Relationship Help: How to Gently Heal your Broken Heart

Questioning yourself about what went wrong can make it difficult to concentrate on recovering. For most people, it can feel like they need to start over and for others moving on can be easier. Deal with your Pain

Don’t run from the pain; instead, deal with it. And as you deal with it, do not distract yourself by overworking, jumping into another relationship, or indulging in alcohol or drugs. Focus on rising up to the challenge and deal with the pain head-on. This will help you free of your pain at the right time instead of lingering on it for life.

Take Care of Yourself

You have unique emotional, spiritual, and physical needs. However, general acts of self-care such as a nutritious diet, regular exercise, stress management stress, and a social support system can benefit you. Be patient, gentle, giving, and kind towards yourself. Also, continue to nurture relationships with family, friends, and yourself. Practicing compassion toward yourself will make it possible to attract that type of energy from others.

Don’t Feel Guilty Forever

If you made a mistake in the relationship, just feel the guilt for a moment. Also, you may extend your apologies, depending on your situation. However, do not bring that guilt to the grave. Get rid of it as you try to move on. Just feel your emotions and acknowledge them. If you don’t express or feel them, they will come out in another way.

Whether you are passionate about writing, dancing, singing, creating, or drawing, focus on losing yourself in it and use it to help you heal. Some people find some form of healing with music and writing. And they express themselves through a journal without judgment from others. It lets you get your thoughts and feelings out.

Learn to Forgive in your Own Time

Even if you decide to forgive yourself or your ex immediately, this does not mean you get over your heartbreak right away. You can only put forgiveness in motion and see the positive in what you learned from the entire experience. Free yourself from hate and anger as these can drag you down if you hold onto them

Get In Touch with your Inner Self

Listen to your inner voice and seek peace and joy. Also, seek healing and strength through this time. By getting in touch with your inner self, you will realize your value and worth in this world that would motivate you to keep going.
